James Park Receives K22 Award

Fellow In Focus Clinical Fellow, James Park, M.D., Ph.D., from the Cell Biology and Biophysics Section has received a K22 Career Transition Award for NINDS Intramural Clinician-Scientists. Dr. Park’s work aims to help people affected by retinitis pigmentosa and Alzheimer’s disease. His research focus is to define a structural interaction involving glutamylation, a post-translational modification found in retinal cells and to elucidate genetic glutamylation requirements in hippocampal cells.
