Postdoc Opening

Investigator: Zayd Khaliq, Ph.D.
Affiliation:Cellular Neurophysiology Unit
Position Type:Postdoctoral Fellowship
Description:

We seek to uncover principles that govern the processing of reward and motor signaling within the dopamine system including cellular integration, neuronal firing, and circuit control of basal ganglia neurons. To achieve this goal, we employ a wide array of experimental approaches including two-photon imaging techniques, uncaging of neurotransmitters, electrophysiology, and optogenetic circuit mapping approaches. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D/M.D. or equivalent and three (3) years or less of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a background in cellular neurobiology and experience using electrophysiological and/or imaging techniques are encouraged to apply. In addition, the lab strongly encourages applications from individuals with experience or interests in imaging/recording from animals in in vivo preparations.

Application Instructions:

Please send a letter describing your long-term goals and interests, CV, and the names of three (3) references to:
