Description:

The Spinal Circuits and Plasticity Unit (SCPU, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), headed by Dr. Ariel Levine, has an postdoctoral position available to investigate the molecules and neural circuits in the mouse spinal cord that mediate behavior and learning. Requirements include (1) a strong background in molecular biology and/or neurobiology, (2) a record of publication, (3) having a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD (or being a candidate for one of these degrees).

Current projects utilize a wide variety of techniques, including sophisticated molecular biology, mouse genetics, cell culture, and mouse behavior, but other areas of relevant expertise are welcome.
