Postdoc Opening

Investigator: Leonardo Belluscio, Ph.D.
Affiliation:Developmental Neural Plasticity Section
Position Type:Postdoctoral Fellow
Description:

Post-doctoral positions are available in the Developmental Neural Plasticity Section at NINDS, to study the mechanisms underlying olfactory circuit plasticity and its role in odor coding.  The laboratory uses molecular biology in combination with imaging, electrophysiology, optogenetics and behavior to understand how sensory experience is used to organize and maintain the structure and function of neural circuits. Currently we are seeking candidates with a strong background in either electrophysiology, optical imaging or molecular biology to expand ongoing projects. Programming experience is essential with electrophysiological or imaging skills and experience with genomics data analysis is necessary with molecular biology background.  The laboratory is very well equipped and located within the new Porter Neuroscience Research Center on the main NIH campus in Bethesda.  This location offers a variety of common resources including access to many core facilities, workshops, courses and great colleagues making it a very stimulating interactive environment.

Application Instructions:

Please send your CV, along with a one-page summary of your research experience and future goals, as well as the contact information of 3 references to: belluscl@ninds.nih.gov . Please write "Postdoctoral application" in the subject header.  All candidates must have fewer than 3 years postdoctoral experience.
